Real Wedding Submissions: The Best Publications to Submit to

Real wedding submissions are one of the best ways to create publicity for your business, establish your credibility, and attract ideal clients. Getting a real wedding feature in a major publication can set your brand apart from the competition.

As wedding PR experts since 2009, our team at OFD Consulting has helped wedding businesses secure over 1000 real wedding features, in all of the major wedding publications.  We’re here to help (through our OFD Collective), or to give you guidance here on a few wedding publications to consider.

Once you’ve decided if your wedding is submission-worthy, you’ll need to figure out which publication to submit to. To help you get started in your search, here are some of our favorite publications to get a real wedding published:

Martha Stewart Weddings

This is one of our favorite publications for real wedding submissions. Founded in 1995 by Martha Stewart herself, Martha Stewart Weddings helps couples plan exquisite weddings through “elevated inspiration, innovative ideas, and expert advice.” We love this outlet because they take extra care to show personalized real weddings while telling the couple’s story through the details.

Brides

We have a saying at OFD Consulting: Whatever the next big thing is, it’s in Brides first. With over 89 years of experience, Brides has become quintessential in the wedding industry. High-end but playful, timeless but always trendy, Brides is the go-to place for fresh, modern weddings. We love their commitment to diversity and the emphasis they place on the story element of wedding features.

Bridal Guide

A staple in any couple’s wedding planning process, Bridal Guide covers a diverse array of wedding styles, from rustic to eclectic, along with offering sound advice for every aspect of a wedding. One of the things that makes Bridal Guide unique is that, in addition to its online platform, it has a physical magazine that comes out six times a year. It’s a wonderful option for pros looking for a print feature.

Green Wedding Shoes

If you’re on the cutting edge of wedding trends, Green Wedding Shoes is the perfect place to showcase your creativity. Founded by Jen and Jason Campbell, Green Wedding Shoes is committed to demonstrating that there’s no “right” way to have a wedding. They feature stunning, diverse weddings at all price points and are great at capturing “wow” moments that surprise, excite, and inspire the industry.

With a unique flair and unrelenting commitment to diversity, we love the way that Junebug truly captures the essence of modern love stories and never-before-seen details.

Love My Dress

Founded in 2009 by Annabel Beeforth, UK-based blog Love My Dress exhibits the perfect balance of whimsical details and real connection. With thoughtful features and an emphasis on authenticity, Love My Dress “seeks to represent a slower, more considered resource in a world of throwaway and disposable digital content.”

Now, with an active community with millions of readers and a strong social media presence, Carats & Cake is one of the leading inspiration sources for classic, high-end weddings.

Quiet luxury, effortless elegance, and a fashion-forward mindset all spring to mind when talking about Over The Moon. With a sprawling e-commerce platform and deep connections in the fashion industry, Over The Moon is the ideal publication for innovative and trendsetting wedding pros looking to break into the luxury market.

Since 2010, Equally Wed has been one of the top publications that specialize in diverse love stories — whether they relate to culture, orientation, ability, or whatever makes each couple unique. We love this outlet because of its boundless variety and dedication to telling authentic, one-of-a-kind stories.

Launched in 2007, Style Me Pretty has inspired millions of couples through a signature look that epitomizes classic, romantic, fine art events. With a bustling publication schedule and a dedicated social media following, Style Me Pretty is the go-to source for simply gorgeous real weddings.

This is a publication that needs no introduction. The “It” publication for real weddings, Vogue’s selective array of spotlights features celebrity and high-profile clients, couture fashion, and exotic destinations. Landing a coveted spot at Vogue is the epitome of “I’ve been published here.”

Wedding Chicks

Wedding Chicks is an essential resource for couples of all backgrounds and styles. The site features a diverse array of real weddings, from whimsical to eclectic to rustic. They’re huge on creativity and love unique details. Our favorite thing about Wedding Chicks is the wide variety of events they share to inspire couples everywhere.

They pay a lot of attention to cataloging the planning process of a destination wedding, making them a perfect fit for pros invested in the travel side.
