The Difference Between OFD and Dear Abby? Not much.

Let’s be honest- who hasn’t wanted an advice column in their life time?

I feel like I can lend insight to a thing or two- especially if it involves maintaining a Type A personality lifestyle or balancing life as an entrepreneur with a major obsession for Grey’s Anatomy.Plus I’m really good at making whoopie pies.

But the good news is that I actually know a thing or two about wedding marketing and wedding public relations so when Weddzilla Blog Editor Heather (and former featured Been There, Done That Bride for Wedology 101) approached me about a collaboration, I couldn’t say yes soon enough.

Social Media has been so good to me over the last two years- and my partnership with Heather is just one example of that. I’ve had the pleasure of “meeting” so many great wedding pros across the country (and beyond!) through Facebook and Twitter. As I continue to increase my speaking engagement, I also have the chance to meet one on one with wedding pros but I’ve always had the desire to continue

So it’s with that, that I am pleased to announce OFD Consulting’s collaboration with wedding web site Weddzilla on a new advice column for wedding pros. It will be featured on the Weddzilla Blog every other Monday starting today. Up first, we’re tackling two very common issues with wedding pros- picking the right Social Media for them, as well as how to get started on Real Wedding submissions. Be on the look out for a rather exciting chat about the world of stylized photo shoots shortly as well.

From time to time, I’ll be pulling in my PR intern extraordinaire Ariana as throws her advice into the mix.
