You’ve spent enough time being the “best-kept secret.” Now you’re ready to rewrite the narrative and step into the limelight as the go-to in your corner of the wedding industry.
At OFD Consulting, we’ve landed clients in Brides and Martha Stewart Weddings. We’ve spoken on nearly every stage the industry has to offer—and then we’ve helped other wedding creatives, from DJs to planners, do the same.
Our wedding industry PR intensives are tailored to you and your specific goals. We tap into the wealth of information we’ve accumulated over 15 years in wedding PR to come up with a visibility plan for you.
If you want the fast track to your visibility goals, this is it.
Our PR + Speaking Intensives are for you if…
Not only have we appeared on the stages you’re aiming for, but we’ve spent over a decade representing speakers, helping them define where they want to talk—and what they’re best suited to talk about.
But it can take time to figure out the lay of the land when it comes to speaking in the event industry. (We know from experience.) Our intensives let you skip the trial-and-error as you step onto bigger stages and move toward profitability.
As your company grows, your publicity strategy is naturally going to evolve. Features and quotes in the press not only increase your credibility with clients and creative partners, but they can also bring more traffic to your website.
With over a decade of experience in wedding PR, we’ll work with you to identify which media outlets match up with your goals. Then we’ll explore the how-to of the strategy we’ve identified, whether that’s pitching podcasts, getting quoted in the national media, or wedding submissions.
My biggest problem before joining OFD was that I didn’t know what my problems were. I knew that I wanted to grow and be a leader in the industry, but I didn’t know where to start or how to get there. Suffice to say, working with OFD has helped me get clear on my vision and I know exactly the business I’m building. If you want to grow in any business there comes a point where you can’t do it all. OFD is my solution to not being able to do it all. Working with OFD gives me time back in my day so that I can focus on what I do best.

No two OFD clients are exactly alike.
And no two intensives are, either.
We start with a call to explore your visibility goals—and understand your current wedding PR efforts. From there, we prepare a proposal, including a draft agenda, a selection of resources we’ll share, and how we can support you after the intensive.
Once you’re booked, we get to work. We’ll take stock of what you’ve already achieved, what your competition is up to, and where we think your unique insights are most needed.
A week before your intensive is scheduled to start, you’ll receive a detailed agenda (and we do mean detailed—we’re type A over here) outlining exactly what we’ll cover.
At the end of your intensive, you’ll have an action plan; a list of hand-picked resources from our library; and follow-up access to us for questions that are bound to pop up, or moments when you need a pep talk
Your wedding industry PR intensive may look like this:
You’re a wedding planner who wants to speak at national conferences, and you’ve booked Meghan for a one-day intensive in person. Before we meet, our team will audit the landscape to find where you can carve out your own niche.
In the morning, we’ll kick things off with an overview of the industry from a speaking POV, then fine-tune your topics so they reflect your unique experience and voice. In the afternoon, we’ll walk through which conferences would be the best fit—and how to prepare a competitive application. We’ll wrap up by exploring other venues to establish your thought leadership, from guest blogs to quotes in the national media.
or:
You’re a linen rental company looking to bring PR in-house, so you schedule a half-day session with us. We start by auditing your current website to make sure it’s press-friendly. Then we’ll give your team a rundown of the current media landscape before we brainstorm a list of national writers to target for pitches. We’ll wrap up by training them on how to pitch and build those all-important relationships.
As your team gains more experience, we can book follow-up sessions to cover how to maximize featured weddings or how to pitch industry podcasts.
I’m intrigued. What’s the next step?
Let’s get on a call to talk about your wedding industry PR goals so we can tailor a proposal for you.
Note that we take on a limited number of intensives per year. Your investment starts at $5,000 for a full-day, in-person intensive, and $1250 per 2-hour online session.
FAQ
How is this different from OFD Collective?
We only offer a limited amount of 1:1 support in OFD Collective each week during office hours. While we’re always there to answer questions for Collective members, we can’t create in-depth PR strategies for each member.
When we do a wedding industry PR intensive, we dedicate significant time to competitor research, coming up with ideas for lead magnets, and finding aligned speaking opportunities.
That said, our intensive clients also get access to hand-picked resources from within the Collective library, as well as relevant content from our courses (Wedding Industry Speakers and Wedding Submissions).
What’s a better fit for me, an intensive or the Wedding Industry Speakers course?
While there’s some overlap between the two, the intensive was created to help you hit your visibility goals faster with a personalized plan.
Within the Wedding Industry Speakers course, we offer group weekly office hours where you can ask Meghan questions, but we don’t include 1:1 support or audits of your current visibility strategy.
How do I decide between in-person and online intensives?
When we send you a proposal, we’ll make a recommendation based on your goals.
If our schedule (and yours) permits, we find that an in-person intensive is often the fastest path to achieving your goals. But we’re all busy people, so we’ll also give you the option to break it into several online sessions.
Note that we only travel for full-day intensives. If you need less than a full day, we’ll offer an online option. In some instances, we can also break out the Full day into virtual two hour sessions, pending availability.
