Royal Wedding Watch Party

I geek out on a lot of things- some things I’m happy to wear on my sleeve and others, that lay dormant until the right moment. And that moment, my friends, has come.

It’s the wedding of the century people!

As you may remember, last November I wrote a particularly enthusiastic post about the upcoming nuptials of my former crush Prince William and Kate Middleton- British Royalty, huge wedding, guaranteed fabulous gown? Yes please!

Before long, my wedding geek flag began to wave. Themed cake pops, Union Jack cocktail napkins, scone and tea! As I began frantically looking for tea towels with Kate and Will’s face on them, it hit me..

I can be the only crazy one, can I?

So it is with that, that I announce my official Royal Wedding Viewing Party Contest to any and all wedding professionals. Think your soiree is going to beat my Windsor-ical throw down? Well show me!

Simply throw the very best Royal Wedding Viewing Party you can and send me a brief description (up to 300 words) of the event- I want to hear all of the details! Images are encouraged- up to (5) lo resolution pictures.

My two rules:

1) You MUST be a wedding professional
2) You MUST throw the party live during the wedding. If I’m getting up at 5am to brew coffee, then you all are going to get up with me.

Submissions are due to  me by May 15 and the top events will be featured on the Illuminate Blog. The winner will be voted upon by the Illuminate readers and the winner will receive a $150 gift card to Anthropologie.
