Weekend Recap: Wedding PR Round up

Minus my birth announcement, my first step into the media was at the ripe age of 3, when my photo was featured in a home town article on Halloween. I was presumably unaware yet delightfully dressed up as I geared up to kick everyone’s butt in bobbing for apples. Needless to say, I was hooked (on pr, not bobbing for apples.. I spent several years losing teeth as a kiddo so it wasn’t really an option).

On weeks like this one, we here at OFD Consulting love bragging on our clients.  Wedding pr, sadly, doesn’t come as easy when you’re not a toddler in a clown costume. It takes a little persistence and a lot of patience.  So without further ado, here’s a recap of some of my favorite media mentions for the week–

I admittedly let out a squeal when this lovely wedding by Meghan McSweeney made its way to the home page of Style Me Pretty.  In addition to being just plain gorgeous, this wedding was particularly special as it was the first held in the new wing of the Virginia Fine Arts Museum. The bride may look a bit familiar to you as Meghan’s bridal portrait session with the bride at the Virginia House was featured last Fall on Perfect Bound.

The post has been particularly popular on SMP– especially the swoon worthy details. Big snaps to McBride Events for putting together such a lavish and sigh inducing event!

Those that know me, know I’m a sucker for baking and am a firm believer that breakfast foods should not be relegated to just the morning. We had the pleasure of collaborating with Historic Mankin Mansion on a shoot for proprietor Paula Ramirez’s “world famous” (at least to us!) Blueberry Bread Pudding.  We were positively thrilled when Isabel of the lovely Pretty Tasty Things featured Paula this week:

I even had a chance  to take a breath and talk with  The Huffington Post this week for an article on my upcoming Royal Wedding Party and Blog Contest:

Special kudos to my dear husband who took some quick snaps of this fabulous cake one night at about midnight amidst my begging. 🙂

What’s next you may ask? We’ve got our fingers and toes crossed here at OFD Consulting for a few upcoming contest announcements, as well as more fun press coverage about my Royal Wedding Viewing Party next Sunday. We’re also collaborating with an amazingly accomplished and super down to earth blogging dynamo for a good cause.

Lots happening.  More coffee and blogging imminent.

More soon,
