Recap: NACE Houston

I’ve heard two things about Houston: that their hospitality goes unmatched and everything BIG. And after a whirlwind trip, I’m happy to share that I agree. 🙂

When NACE Houston extended the offer to come speak on “Branding and the Client Experience,” I couldn’t say yes fast enough. What a joy it was to reconnect with so many “conference buddies” while there. I also had the pleasure of having THE “hostess with the mostess”- Lisa with LBL Event Rentals. Lisa kindly showed me around while also taking me out for a night out on the town with fellow Board member David Jones. Let’s just say that a family-style dinner served in an 18 inch iron cast skillet is not for the faint of heart! Luckily, I was ready for the culinary adventure!

Pixel Studio Productions shared some of the highlights from the event so I wanted to share!

The wonderful ladies of LBL Event Rentals:

Loved the idea of being able to share “on the spot” kudos- I’ll be “borrowing” this idea and begging our chapter to consider it!

And of course, what would a speaking recap be without an awkward photo of me speaking. This is, of course, not to speak to the photographer’s talent (quite the opposite!). But this is demonstrative of my inability to be simultaneously photogenic and public speaking. I’ll of course, welcome all tips. 😉

My BIGgest thanks to NACE Houston for welcoming me to their May meeting- I look forward to seeing many of you at The Experience in July!
